2009-10: His first year on campus, Chandler Gruenemeier made an immediate splash in the South Atlantic Conference eventually earning 1st team All-SAC honors and the 2010 SAC Freshman of the Year award by year's end... Gruenemeier placed in the top-20 six times, the top-10 twice, and the top-5 twice... In his first collegiate tournament, The Honda of Columbia Fall Classic on September 18-19, Gruenemeier tied for 3rd place with a two round total of 138 (70-68; -6), a score that is currently third best in school history... At the Bearcat Classic on March 29-30, Gruenemeier would finish one stroke behind teammate Daniel Stanley with a 208 (71-68-69; -8) over 54 holes for the secon best 54-hole low in program history... Participated in 24 rounds with season stroke average of 73.3, third best in school history... Accumulated a win/loss record of 599-229.
