Wolves in 10th after second round at Lady Paladin InvitationalBrandl's 76 paces Newberry in second round October 27, 2012 GREENVILLE - The Newberry Wolves' women's golf team dropped a stroke from its first round score and sits in 10th place after the second round of the 41st Annual Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course. Newberry's team score is 635 (318-317) after two rounds of play in the Upstate. The Wolves shot a 317 Saturday and were paced by Lisa Brandl (Nuremberg, Germany) who bounced back from a rough first round with a 76. Overall, she is tied for 49th in the individual standings along with teammate Eline Askeland (Oslo, Norway) with a 17-over par 161 through two rounds. Julia Daneshfar (Trophy Club, Texas) shot a 79 Saturday and is tied for 55th with a 19-over par 163 through two rounds. Barbara Castro (Coruna, Spain) is still Newberry's individual leader, tied for 27th with a 13-over par 157, while Natalia Perez (Bogota, Colombia) is tied for 42nd with a 16-over par 160. Competing as an individual, Korey Coleman (Stanford, Ky.) is in 71st with a 29-over par 173. Hosts Furman took over the tournament lead at 601, with Chattanooga a stroke behind at 602 and Nova Southeastern in third at 603. The Wolves complete their fall season with the final round of the Lady Paladin Invitational starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, with Newberry grouped with golfers from William & Mary and Longwood.
