Brad Edwards named director of athletics at Jacksonville University

NEWBERRY - Newberry College vice president for intercollegiate athletics Brad Edwards has been announced as the new director of athletics at Jacksonville University, an NCAA Division I institution in Jacksonville, Fla. His duties at JU begin August 10.

Edwards had served as the head of Newberry's athletics programs for the last three years. [JU release]

Newberry College acting president Dr. John Hudgens has begun the process of identifying an interim director of athletics in the immediate future. New president Dr. Maurice Scherrens will lead the search for the next athletic director. Scherrens begins his duties in Newberry on August 14.
