Women's Soccer NCAA Selection Show to be webstreamed Monday

NCAA.com to provide selection show at 7 p.m. tomorrow

INDIANAPOLIS - After watching the weekend's other conference tournaments unfold, the Newberry College women's soccer team now awaits the decision of the NCAA to see if its season will continue into Division II regional competition for the first time in program history.

NCAA.com will provide a free webstream of the selection show on Monday, November 9, at 7 p.m. Eastern to announce the field of 48 teams to the national tournament.

South Atlantic Conference tournament champion Carson-Newman, Peach Belt Conference tournament champion Armstrong Atlantic State and Conference Carolinas tournament champion Belmont Abbey have automatically qualified for the tournament.

Those institutions will be joined by three at-large teams from the Southeast Region. Newberry was ranked fifth in the Southeast Region rankings last week.
